We'd like to bring to your attention a recent cyber attack targeting several superannuation funds, which may have impacted you. These attacks have led to unauthorised access to user accounts and, in some cases, the extraction of funds.
Regardless of whether you have been directly affected, now is the perfect time to ensure your account's security. However, please be reassured that all the superannuation funds mentioned below have proactively contacted all impacted account holders. If you haven't heard from your provider, you can be assured your account is unaffected.
If you are using any of the following superannuation funds, please review your account and take the recommended steps:
To safeguard your investments and personal information, we suggest the following actions:
Review Your Account: Log in to your portal and check your banking details and contact information. If you notice any discrepancies, contact your super fund immediately.
Enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA): If it's not already active, enable MFA in your portal to provide an extra layer of security.
Update Your Password: Even if there are no immediate signs of compromise, it's a good idea to change your superannuation portal password for better security. Click here for tips to see if you have been compromised.
This incident is a timely reminder of the importance of securing your accounts. We urge everyone to be vigilant and proactive with their cybersecurity measures. Read our blog on how to strengthen your security.
Please get in touch with us by booking an online meeting if you have any questions or need help setting up these security measures.
